The exhibition concentrates on the sculptural production of the artist. In all, 45 drawnings, collages, sketches, models and sculputures made between 1965 and 1997 have been selected from the  Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, from the Estate of  Roy Lichtenstein of New York, and from museums and private collections.

La mostra si concentra sulla produzione scultorea dell'artista Roy Lichtenstein. In tutto 45 opere tra disegni, collage, bozzetti, modelli e sculture realizzate tra il 1965 e il 1997 e provenienti dalla Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, dall'Estate Roy Lichtenstein di New York, nonché da musei e collezioni private.
Questa mostra per me è stata l'occasione per vedere opere mai viste. Andate a vederla.

A tribute to the greatest female discoveree of artistic talent in the late 20th century, alongside Peggy Guggenheim. Over 70 works, from Pop Art to New Dada, Arte Povera to Minimal Arte.
The exhibition, in the monumental rooms of Ca 'Pesaro on the second floor, is the first step in a long-term collaboration with the Sonnabend Collection and the Sonnabend Collection Foundation in New York, which will immerse you in a visual imagery that has made history art.
You can see the works of: Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Peter Halley, Mel Bochner, John McCracken, Larry Bell, Clay Ketter and more.


Un omaggio alla più grande scopritrice di talenti artistici del secondo Novecento accanto a Peggy Guggenheim. Oltre 70 opere dalla Pop Arte al New Dada, dall'Arte Povera al Minimal.
La mostra, nelle sale monumentali di Ca’ Pesaro al secondo piano, è il primo passo di una collaborazione a lungo termine con la Sonnabend Collection e la Sonnabend Collection Foundation di New York, che permette di immergersi in un immaginario visivo che ha fatto la storia dell’arte

Roy Lichtenstein (October 27, 1923 – September 29, 1997) was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, his paintings were exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York City and, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, James Rosenquist, and others. He became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the basic premise of pop art better than any other through parody. Favoring the old-fashioned comic strip as subject matter, Lichtenstein produced hard-edged, precise compositions that documented while it parodied often in humorous manner. His work was heavily influenced by both popular advertising and the comic book style. He described pop art as, "not 'American' painting but actually industrial painting".

Roy Lichtenstein (27 Ottobre 1923 - 29 Settembre 1997) è stato un artista americano esponente della pop art. Nel corso del 1960, i suoi dipinti sono stati esposti alla Leo Castelli Gallery di New York , insieme a Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, James Rosenquist, e altri.
