Fabio Giampietro's paintings represent images of a
city view from the top. It does
not matter what the city,
it might be the same or different in each
picture. E 'perspective, however, to be identical
every time. The city is seen from above, as if the viewer or the painter was
in freefall or the
gaze is directed upwards as if the eye of the beholder was the smallest existing
being. The contemporary
metropolis and the sense of
vertigo resulted from the overall look of it
is the common element of these works
and their sublime beauty.

Fabio Giampietro rappresentano immagini di una città vista dall'alto. Non ha
importanza quale sia la città, potrebbe essere sempre la stessa oppure una
diversa in ogni quadro. E' la prospettiva, invece, ad essere identica ogni
volta. La città è vista dall'alto, come se lo spettatore o il pittore fosse in
caduta libera oppure lo sguardo è rivolto verso l'alto come se l'occhio di chi
guarda fosse del più piccolo essere esistente. La metropoli contemporanea e il
senso di vertigine scaturito dallo sguardo d'insieme su di essa è l'elemento
comune di queste opere e la loro bellezza sublime.
