Tomás Sánchez (born May 22, 1948 Cuba) is a Cuban painter and engraver, known for his landscapes. In 1980 he won the First Prize at the XIX Edition of the International Prize of Drawing Joan Miró, for his work Desde las aguas blancas, which launched his international career. The following year, he had an exhibition at the Joan Miró Foundation, Centre of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, Spain. His work has been exhibited in over 30 countries.

Tomás Sánchez (nato il 22 maggio 1948 Cuba ) è un pittore e incisore cubano, conosciuto per i suoi paesaggi . Nel 1980 ha vinto il Primo Premio alla XIX edizione del Premio Internazionale di Disegno Joan Miró, per il suo lavoro Desde las Aguas Blancas , che ha lanciato la sua carriera internazionale.
