I have already told you in my post Art of artistic beauty that I could see in the store, "The Merchant of Venice," now I'll explain why I was fascinated with this place.
I had the privilege of visiting the historic pharmacy San Fantin, became the first flagship store last project of the Venetian Mavive"The Merchant of Venice" a line of high perfumery that has its conceptual origins in Venice and its history. Visit this place was an extraordinary experience because here design, history and architecture come together and create the ideal enviroment for the products of "The Merchant of Venice."

Do you remember my visit to Mocenigo Palace and the magic of a museum that inform of the century-old continuity between the Republic of Venice and the history of Perfume?
"The Merchant of Venice" was conceived as a direct result of the creation of the Perfume Museum, which in turn now crowns the creation of the fragrance. First of its kind in Italy, the Museum represents the focus of Mavive's expertise and efforts, and its recent completion is due to the Agreement between the historic Venetian perfume company and the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia. The relationship between Venice and Mavive continues with the decision to open the flagship boutique at the ancient chemist shop located in San Fantin. In the heart of Venice and immediately adjacent to La Fenice Theatre.
The chemist shop originally opened in 1650 and in 1848 it was completely restructured and redesigned with wooden furniture, hand made statues and terracotta elements. The new project returned all the decor to its original beauty, where the products conjure up stories of an ancient past.
From the 11th to the 15th century, the Venetian merchants imported spices, textile, silks, gems, gold and essential oils that were then sold to the Royal Courts and aristocratic families throughout Europe. In this historical context, the maritime trade routes were crucially important for the Venetian economy, Servicing these routes were convoys of ships, the "Mude", comprising fleets of Venetian galleys manned by expert mariners and carrying imported and exported goods to and from the main trade centers throughout the entire Mediterranean region.
The MUDE are the source of inspiration for the entire line, and its six different Eau de Parfums suitably express the highest aesthetic beauty and olfactory refinement.

I 6 Eau de Parfum ispirati alle MUDE

Museum Collection:

As well as the Eau del Parfum, "The Merchant of Venice" also offers 40 monothematic fragrances based on classic raw materials from Europe and Asia.

The Perfumer Kit:

A distinctive and fascinating element of "The Merchant of Venice" is the Perfumer Kit, which affords clients the possibility of translating their desires into fragrances by utilising a set of phials that contain different mixtures of essences, one for each main olfactory family.

Un ringraziamento speciale a Valentina che mi ha accompagnata alla scoperta di questo luogo straordinario e di "The Merchant of Venice".
