Hello to all. I hope that your holidays are proceeding in the best way. My days are for the moment of absolute relaxation and I'm getting ready to greet the new year with dignity, which I hope will be full of surprises as it was in 2013. After France, Paris and London, here are my tips art for your holidays in the United States. If you happen to spend their holidays in the United States went to see Art and appetite: Art and appetite: American Painting, Culture and Cusine, at the Art Institute of Chicago.
The american artists have used food to both celebrate and critique their developing society; express ideas relating to politics, race, class, gender, and commerce; and investigate American identity. This exhibition brings together over 100 paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from the 18th through the 20th century, along with a selection of period cookbooks, menus, trade cards, and posters, to explore the art and culture of food and examine the many meanings and interpretations of eating in America.
