Palazzo Mocenigo riapre oggi le sue porte, con un nuovo percorso espositivo e con molte altre novità e sorprese, tra cui i nuovi percorsi museali dedicati al Profumo.

Palazzo Mocenigo opens today its doors again, with a new exhibition and with many other news and surprises, including a new section dedicated to Perfume.

Vi avevo già anticipato alcune foto della mia partecipazione alla presentazione del restyling di Palazzo Mocenigo, che proprio oggi riapre al pubblico. In questo post vi mostro le immagini più suggestive e vi racconto le meraviglie del Palazzo.
Come fosse ancora abitato dagli antichi proprietari l'ambiente si snoda attraverso un percorso circolare suggestivo, popolato da manichini che indossano abiti d'epoca e accessori antichi, tra eleganti e sontuosi arredi settecenteschi, tessuti e ricami, dipinti e cornici, accessori e abiti, appartenenti alle collezioni conservate nel Palazzo, insieme a moltissimi importanti oggetti e opere d'arte provenienti da altri musei veneziani. L'evocativo percorso si completa con un inedito e straordinario capitolo dedicato alla storia del profumo e delle essenze: una novità assoluta nel panorama della museografia italiana e un vero atto di mecenatismo di Mavive, cui dedicherò un post speciale perchè il suo contributo a questo museo è straordinario.

I had already anticipated some pictures of my participation in the presentation of the restyling of the Palazzo Mocenigo, who today reopened to the public. In this post I show you the most evocative images and tell you the wonders of the palace.
As though they were still lived in by their former owners, the rooms are revealed via an appealing new circular route inhabited by mannequins wearing period clothes and accessories amidst the elegant, sumptuous 18th century decorations, fabrics and embroideries, paintings and frames, period garments and accessories, for the most part drawn from the museum's own collections and storerooms, but also from the collections of other museums of Venice. The exciting new layout concludes with a extraordinary new display dedicated to the history of perfumes and essences. This is a completely new venture within the panorama of italian museums and a true act of patronage of Mavive, which I will devote a special post because his contribution to this museum is extraordinary.
