Over 50 works of sculpture, painting and installation by the noted British artist, an exponent of the so-called "Young British Artists", exploring the relationship between culture and nature in the wake of the events of 11th September 2011. This exhibition marks a return of the artist to Venice, following his 2003 show at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, The Overwhelming World of Desire, and highlights Fondazione Giorgio Cini’s growing interest in contemporary art.
The exhibition will feature a unique site-specific installation of the work Evolution (2005) that has been specially adapted for the island of San Giorgio as well as seven large scale seashells from the series 'The Archaeology of Art' (2013) . Alison Lapper Pregnant (2005), previously installed in September 2005 on the fourth plinth in London’s Trafalgar Square will also be on display.
The exhibition is a must because it is an opportunity to see the wonderful works of an artist of great talent who at every opportunity can be talked about.

Oltre 50 opere tra sculture, dipinti e installazioni del noto artista britannico, esponente dei cosiddetti "Young British Artists", indagano il rapporto tra cultura e natura dopo gli accadimenti dell'11 Settembre 2011. Questa mostra segna il ritorno dell'artista a Venezia, dopo la mostra del 2003 alla Collezione Peggy Guggenheim, The Overwhelming World of Desire, e mette in evidenza il crescente interesse della Fondazione Giorgio Cini per l'arte contemporanea.
La mostra presenta un'installazione site-specific di Evolution (2005) che è stato appositamente adattato per l'isola di San Giorgio, così come le sette conchiglie di grandi dimensioni della serie 'The Archaeology of Art' (2013). Anche "Alison Lapper Pregnant" (2005), precedentemente installato nel Settembre 2005 sul quarto plinto di Trafalgar Square di Londra sarà in mostra.
La mostra è imperdibile perchè è l'occasione per vedere le meravigliose opere di un artista di grande talente che in ogni occasione riesce a far parlare di sè.
