Today I dedicate a post to a marvelous work and intense. A few words about the author and the rest some information on where to see it. Jean-Louis André Théodore Géricault (26 September 1791 – 26 January 1824) was a profoundly influential French artist, painter and lithographer, known for The Raft of the Medusa and other paintings. Although he died only 33 years old, he became one of the pioneers of the Romantic movement. Oggi dedico un post ad un'opera meravigliosa e intensa. Poche parole sull'autore e per il resto alcune informazioni su dove vederla. Jean-Louis André Théodore Géricault (26 Settembre 1791 - 26 Gennaio 1824) è stato un artista, pittore e litografo francese molto importante, conosciuto per la Zattera della Medusa e altri dipinti. La mostra testimonierà l'importanza del lavoro di Haring, in particolare il suo contenuto profondamente "politico", evidente nelle sue opere durante tutta la sua carriera. I messaggi politici e le idee che ha comunicato non sono solo una parte della sua eredità, ma hanno avuto una reale influenza su altri artisti e sulla società. The Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is devoting a wide-ranging retrospective to American artist Keith Haring (1958-1990). The exhibition will bear witness to the importance of Haring's work, in particular its profoundly "political" content, apparent in his work throughout his career. The political messages and ideas he communicated were not only a part of his legacy; they have had a very real influence on other artists and on society. Even when very young, he was driven by an urge to change the world.
Consciously and frequently choosing the street and public spaces to make contact with the widest possible audience, he fought indefatigably against racism, capitalism, violence and injustice in all their forms, with a particular emphasis on apartheid in South Africa, the threat of nuclear war, the destruction of the environment, homophobia and the AIDS epidemic (diagnosed HIV-positive in 1988, he established a charitable foundation, dedicated in part to helping those affected by AIDS and HIV).

Amo questo artista! Sorrido ogni volta che mi imbatto in suo lavoro.
Ora le sue creazioni si animano e in questo video possiamo vedere Clet all'opera a Parigi. Ma le sue opere iniziano a prendere vita e mi viene in mente subito che questa non è più street art ma urban cartoon.

I love this artist! I grin every time I come across his work.
Now his creations come alive and in this video we can see Clet work in Paris. But his works are starting to come alive and I'm beginning to think that this is not more street art but urban cartoon.
